Each month we aim to add to the archives information about Coventry Freemasons and their contributions to the city,

For October we have added WBro Emanual Kalker a Founder of St John’s Lodge

  • Eminent Coventry Freemasons – Emanuel Kalker (1859-1940)
    Emanual Kalker – Founder of Kalker & Co motor company and also Coventry Electric Company. A member of the Jewish faith, he was actively involved in the Coventry Synagogue, and chair of the Belgian Refugee Committee for which he received an OBE in 1920. He was a founder member of St John’s Lodge.
