Gilbert Richards, CBE, A member of Trinity Lodge no 254, a phenomenal after-dinner speaker, a long term local politician, Deputy Lieutenant, Police Special, Churchwarden, Trustee and Governor, whose life of service to others only lasted 68 years.
Emanual Kalker – Founder of Kalker & Co motor company and also Coventry Electric Company. A member of the Jewish faith, he was actively involved in the Coventry Synagogue, and chair of the Belgian Refugee Committee for which he received an OBE in 1920. He was a founder member of St John’s Lodge.
One of the three “Kent Cubes” in our museum – this one dates from 1965 and given by the Grand Master of UGLE, the Earl of Scarborough, to the Provincial Grand Master of Warwickshire, Sir Stanley J Harley.
