Freemasons are welcome to enquire about visiting one of our craft lodges or Royal Arch Chapters. We also have a lodge for women freemasons, and units for Mark Master Masons (MMM), Ancient & Accepted Rite (Rose Croix), Knight’s Templar (KT) and Knight Templar Priests (KTP). Visitors are always welcomed.

Craft Lodges

Trinity Lodge no 254

The oldest lodge meeting in Coventry, having been founded in 1755 as Lodge no 43 of the “Ancients”

Renowned for it’s impressive Canopied Master’s Chair (probably from late 1700) and other historical artefacts that are still in use today

Named after the powerful Trinity Guild or the Parish Church of the city

Currently has around 40 members

Has its own ritual which still incorporates elements of “Ancients” workings – visitors from Scotland, Ireland and Bristol will recognise some of these differences.

Collegiate Lodge no 9943

The youngest lodge meeting in Coventry, having been founded in 2017

Named “Collegiate” to reflect bringing together members from an educational background, or associated with the Universities of the City – Coventry University and University of Warwick

A member of the University Scheme of the United Grand Lodge of England. Ceremonies and meetings aim to be shorter in duration and cost effective.

Currently has around 35 members

Many younger members, of different faiths, from different countries of origin

The Lodge of Serenity no 9312

This is the Coventry room’s “Summer” Lodge and held its first meeting in September 1989.

It meets in April, May, June and September

Currently it has 13 members – but most meetings draw 25 or sometimes more visitors

The June meeting is often used to bring together members of all the lodges in the rooms in Festival of Fellowship – usually to raise money for the annual Coventry Freemasons Pantomime for Disadvantaged Children.

One meeting is used for an impressive speaker or a demonstration – In May 2025 Lodge Glittering Star of the Irish Constitution will be visiting

fun fact – this is currently the only lodge in the English Constitution with the name “Serenity”
